I’ve come here gradually more and more over time and I love it! Such authentic Korean cuisine that doesn’t disappoint in my opinion! My all time favorite would be the rose tteokboki! The flavor is perfect for anyone who has a low spice tolerance but careful with the temperature! I love all the vegetables and bacon and sausages they also add into the dish, and just how chewy the rice cakes are! But their other tteokboki options are also just as amazing! There’s so many options inside and just so many different dishes to try! The inside is always very clean I’ve never had an issue with any messy tables or messy anything there. Prices are pretty okay and wait times, depending on business, are reasonable! To-go containers and boxes do cost money though. I believe 0.25-0.50? (I could be wrong but I remember it’s less than a dollar for a single one, though it also depends on size). Can’t wait to try more! Also there is an Hmart right next door, there’s a big parking lot so I’ve never had any issues parking! Handicap friendly inside Weekends are quite busy! Also closing time may be at 9pm, but some of the individual food shops inside close earlier than 9pm. For ordering tteokboki, from my experience, I think you get more quantity wise when you order to eat there than ordering to-go.
This review it’s about the marketplace, That’s downstairs of be se to. After a delicious Korean meal upstairs at be se to, we always love to go downstairs to check out some of the new imported items from Korea. For this month, they have added a lot more stuffed animals, Miniature cute bags, new flip-flops, lucky bamboo, and other items for the lunar new year. Definitely go check it out if you are looking for gift ideas for Chinese new year or Valentine’s Day.
Great Korean food hall that is on top of a general store. I gave service 4 stars cuz there really isn’t much interaction. It’s a counter service establishment. 3-4 “restaurants”.. great Korean options. My partner and I both got bibimbap and some mandu. Delicious. And tho the name comes from Be(ijing) - Se(oul)-To(kyo) - I wouldn’t say there is any Chinese food besides maybe dumplings at one spot and Jajangmyeon which really isn’t Chinese. There is a sushi option tho. I think it’s BYOB as we saw some folks come in with a six-pack. Place is nothing fancy like the Block in Bethesda or The Spot in Rockville. Super casual, authentic spot that reminded me of many a highway stop or Lotte Mart food hall in Korea.
The samgyetang had a rich, flavorful broth and tasted great. The sweet and sour pork, jjambbong, and chicken cutlet were also tasty. Next time we go, I'd like to try some of the other dishes, like Korean-style sashimi bowl.
This place is a gem to try Korean foods. I would say, it is authentic K-style food. We had Koreanchinese food, Jjampong and Tangsuyook, and they were sooooo good. You don't have to pay tip, self-service, and there are plenty of seats and tables. It's right next to Hmart, so you can stop by for groceries before or after eating. Price is also reasonable. I would say it's cheap.
Very good food. We tasted the delicious Tang Jjan Myeon (#85), It's a spicy soup with sea food and half a portion of breaded pork South Korean food. You may find Japanese and Chinese food as well. I really recommend this place.
The restaurant offers amazing food with reasonable price, highly recommended. My friends have been here for many times and it is always very popular. I would like to say it is the best Asian restaurant in this city.
Love the place and the many options you have, also huge portions so it doesn't disappoint Update 12.2.2024. We went to book kyoung, the korean chinese, and it's soooo good. Great portions. Best janjan myen with fried pork.
